I’m Vikrant Jain — a software architect and AI-augmented engineer based in New Delhi, India.

This is The Architect’s Ledger, where I write about software architecture, AI coding agents, and engineering practice. The writing grows out of hands-on work: designing scalable multi-tenant systems, modernizing long-lived platforms, and treating AI agents as genuine collaborators in the engineering workflow rather than a novelty on the side.

My background spans enterprise architecture, identity management, and workflow automation — built over a long career across companies including Oracle and Avalara — and I hold three US patents along the way. What holds my attention now is how engineering changes when coding agents become part of the team.
